Elan High School Dance Update

In an effort to keep you as informed as possible as to the rescheduling of Elan events in the wake of the recent flooding, we wanted to let you know that the Senior Cotillion Back to School Dance has tentatively been rescheduled for Saturday, October 29. The dance will be a combined event for 9th and 10-12th grades, as will the remainder of the senior cotillion events this year as planned. The River Center is hoping to be able to confirm that date with us in the next few weeks as they are able to transition those that are currently seeking shelter.

If we are able to hold the dance on October 29, all guest tickets previously purchased will transfer. We will also reopen the ticket window for those who have not yet purchased tickets. We will let you know when the ticket window reopens and give ample time to purchase guest tickets.

Chaperones that were scheduled for the High School dance on August 27 and the 9th Grade dance on August 19 will remain scheduled as chaperones for the October 29 date. Once the date is secure, we will contact chaperones to ensure availability.

Junior Cotillion Dance Session Changes

The members of the Elan Junior Cotillion Board have decided to make some changes to the remaining dance sessions due to the recent events in our community. Beginning with the 7th Grade Dance Session this weekend, all dance sessions will be an hour and a half long and will be considered a double dance session. Each session will begin at 6:00 pm and will end at 7:30 pm and will count as 2 sessions. This means that members will need to attend only 2 of these dance sessions in addition to an etiquette session. Please remember to register for an etiquette session if your child has not yet done so.
